Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) Teacher Education Program is designed to prepare students to work in the field of Teacher Education. Our curriculum is consistent with professional and national accreditation standards. However, as a regulated profession, each state is responsible for establishing requirements for licensure/certification and practice. These requirements vary from state to state. Below, MSSU has created a chart to assist students in determining whether the Teacher Education program will meet the requirements for licensure or certification for each state. The chart below is current as of March 12, 2025. As states may change their requirements, MSSU is committed to updating this chart before each semester. Throughout the term of your program, you may access the most recent version of the chart on our Professional Licensure Information webpage which will provide details about the program’s status in all jurisdictions.

Location determination is established through the review of Banner address data at the time of document creation. Unless otherwise noted in this form, notification of licensure eligibility will be based on the data from Banner.

By signing this attestation, I understand that my enrollment is conditioned on signing and submitting this acknowledgement form. If anything changes regarding my state of residence or where I intend to practice after signing this attestation, it is my responsibility to notify the Program Director immediately.
